8. Margaret Branscomb

Margaret Branscomb was b. 1831 Ind., d. of tuberculosis 8 December 1905; bur. Taylor Cem. Md. In Johnson Co. 7 January 1849 Andrew Taylor (b. ca. 1835 Ill.; DOD is unknown, but Margaret was a widow in 1905).

Four children are known, all born in Illinois:

81. Mary Jane Taylor, known as Polly, b. ca. 1850. Md. In Johnson Co. 19 May 1889 James M. Connor.

82. Martha Taylor, b. ca. 1852. The marriage books show that Martha S. Taylor md.on 7 September 1873 John L. Caldwell (Book B, p. 26) and that Martha F. Taylor md. 18 May 1875 John W. Culver (Book C, p. 40). It is not known whether Martha the daughter of James and Rutha married either of these two.

83. William Taylor, b. ca. 1854. A William Taylor md. 26 January 1868 Cynthia V. Wright (Book B, p. 130), and a William A. Taylor md. 26 January 1872 Mary J. Wickham (Book B, p. 408).

84. Sarah E. Taylor, b. ca. 1857. Md. in Johnson Co. 21 November 1880 William A. James (b. ca. 1858), son of Theodore James and Nancy A. Holliday.
